Submerged lore is informal wiki shorthand for the material that iceberg charts place below the waterline: niche references, forgotten releases, local drama, technical minutiae, or insider jokes that casual fans are not expected to know.

As a descriptive term

The phrase is not a trademarked genre. Writers use it alongside Deep lore to talk about how communities perform expertise. On an iceberg chart, "submerged" tiers dramatise that performance; on a YouTube iceberg, narration spends disproportionate time there because obscure entries need explanation.

Editorial caution
